Overview
Longview Power is majority-owned by GenPower Holdings, L.P., which is backed by the nation's largest energy-focused private equity partner, First Reserve Corporation. GenPower was formed in 2006 to pursue the development, ownership, acquisition, and operation of power generation facilities in the United States and abroad. The company's management team includes power industry veterans who have extensive experience in power project development, finance, construction, and operations.
Longview Power is just one example of the environmentally responsible and technologically advanced projects GenPower is committed to develop and operate. Typical of GenPower's distinct excellence and quality standards, the 695-MW (net) Longview Power project will be one of the cleanest and most efficient coal plants in the United States when it begins operation in 2011.
